Purpose
These sermons and articles are not an official or in anyway meant to be a
definitive collection. They are assembled here with the hope and prayer that
through reading them, some may be led to know the grace of God and the love of Jesus a
little better through the guidance, not of the writers' ideas, but that of the Holy Spirit
and the word of God.

Background
I am a pastor of the three congregations of the Worldwide Church of God, in Tasmania, the
southern island state of Australia. I previously pastored our Newcastle, New South Wales church, and
put together a church website which included a brief collection of my sermons. The
Worldwide Church of God was undergoing a great series of changes in doctrine and practice,
embracing the wheat of faith and grace, and throwing away the chaff of exclusivism,
legalism and fundamentalism. I noted after some time, that the sermon section of the
site was by far the most popular and most commented on. My audience for the
published sermons was apparently larger than my live listeners.
Having moved to Tasmania, it seemed inappropriate to leave my sermons on
the Newcastle site for much longer, so I decided rather than including them on our Tasmanian site, to give them a place of
their own. And here they are, and here you are! I'm glad you've found them.
I hope to regularly add more, so please check back every few weeks to see
what's new.

The Worldwide Church of God
Formerly an exclusive, fundamentalist group led by Herbert W. Armstrong,
the Worldwide Church of God has gone through a much heralded
"reformation." It has now become an orthodox, evangelical, Christian
denomination.
